Major General Robert Scales talks about drawing down troops in Afghanistan and the best way to prevent the resurgence of ISIS, the Taliban, and Al Qaeda. Major General Scales graduated from West Point in 1966. He commanded two units in Vietnam and received the Silver Star for his heroics during the Battle of Hamburger Hill. He served at posts in Korea and Germany before being named commandant of the U.S. Army War College. He has a PhD in history from Duke University and is the author of numerous books and articles.
