Kasie, who graduated from Texas Tech University in May of 2013 with a degree in journalism, joined KCBD in February of 2020, following a brief hiatus from news. Her first tenure with NewsChannel 11 was from January 2013 until June of 2018. She began her career during her final semester in college as Karin McCay's Healthwise producer. Shortly after, she was promoted to the producer for the 5 and 10 o'clock newscasts. After three and a half years as a producer, Kasie made the jump from behind the camera to in front of it as she accepted a position as a multi-media journalist and weekend anchor. During her time away from news, Kasie was employed by the Lubbock Police Department as their public information specialist, before becoming the communications coordinator for The United Family. Kasie is thrilled to be back “home” and have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of residents across the South Plains.
